Five years in the ledger: AmeriHome, the rate shock, the rebuild
The ledger runs FY2021–FY2025 plus this quarter. Total revenue nearly doubled from $1,953.0 million to $3,543.0 million while net interest income climbed every year to $2,864.8 million. Three artifacts reward a look: FY2021's AmeriHome acquisition left loans held for sale at $5,635.1 million with a $21.4 million provision recovery; FY2023's $722.4 million net income absorbs $436.7 million of deposit costs, a $190.4 million insurance line swollen by the FDIC special assessment, and $116.0 million of fair-value losses; and FY2024's $787.7 million is the trough before FY2025's $990.6 million, which introduces a $293 million noncontrolling interest. Non-interest-bearing deposits cratered from $21,353.4 million to $14,520 million in the 2023 scramble and have rebuilt past $24 billion, while other borrowings spiked to $7,230 million and settled near $5.2 billion.
