N26 dates run day-first
01/08/2026 in an N26 export is the 1st of August — N26 writes day-first like most European banks, and this preset reads it that way so you do not need to touch the date setting.

N26 export questions
Is 01/08/2026 the 1st of August or the 8th of January?
The 1st of August. N26 always writes dates day-first, and this preset is already set that way so you do not need to flip anything.
Does this handle foreign-currency purchases?
Yes — N26 exports every purchase already converted into your account currency in the Amount column, so the Beancount transaction uses that amount directly and foreign-currency details stay in the payee field.
Can I use this for multiple N26 accounts?
Yes — N26 keeps a separate export per Space or account. Download each one individually and paste them one at a time; each converts to its own set of Beancount transactions.
