It depends on which part of Mint you miss. If you want the closest hosted replacement — automatic sync, household sharing, a polished dashboard — Monarch Money is the strongest option at $99.99 a year. Credit Karma is free in the ad-funded sense: it costs nothing because it earns by recommending financial products, and it has no budgeting features at all.
Intuit migrated Mint accounts into Credit Karma, which tracks balances and credit scores but never rebuilt Mint's budgeting. That gap is why so many users moved somewhere else instead — most visibly to Monarch Money, which grew sharply after the March 2024 shutdown, and to YNAB and Actual Budget among people who wanted a real budgeting method rather than a dashboard.

Mint let users export transactions as CSV before it closed, and Monarch, YNAB, Actual Budget and Beancount can all ingest that file — the columns (date, description, category, account, amount) map onto each tool's import format. Beancount turns those rows into balanced double-entry transactions, so the imported history is checked rather than merely stored. Whatever you choose, keep the original CSV: it is the only copy of that history you fully control.

Beancount stores your ledger as plain text on your own disk, and Actual Budget keeps a local budget file you sync yourself — in both cases the software can disappear and your records stay readable. Monarch, YNAB, Copilot and Credit Karma all hold your history in their cloud and offer CSV export, which is a copy of your data rather than the data itself. The distinction only matters once, and by then it is usually too late to change.
