What's Inside

Fiscal years end June 30. All figures sourced from CACI International Inc Form 10-K and 10-Q filings (SEC EDGAR, CIK 0000016058), exact to the filing's thousands. CACI is a defense and intelligence IT contractor (NYSE: CACI) whose revenue comes overwhelmingly from U.S. federal contracts; the ledger starts at FY2025, pairing the two latest audited annuals with the newest quarter. Goodwill and intangibles dominate the balance sheet after the Azure Summit (FY2025) and ARKA (FY2026) acquisitions, and the company reports no noncontrolling interests, so every net income figure is wholly attributable to CACI shareholders.

Quick Start

bash
uvx --from beancount bean-check main.bean
uvx --from beanquery bean-query main.bean \
"SELECT year, sum(position) WHERE account ~ '^Income:Revenue' GROUP BY year ORDER BY year"

Zero output from bean-check means the ledger is internally consistent: every
income statement sums to zero and every balance-sheet snapshot reconciles to
the filed totals. The query prints revenue by calendar year; income is a
credit, so it shows as a negative number. Open main.bean in Fava
or import it into beancount.io to explore it visually.

Methodology

  • Balance sheet — pad / balance directives assert each period-end
figure against the filing named in that period file's source banner.
  • Income statement — one zero-sum transaction per period: Income
negative (credit), Expenses positive (debit), with the arithmetic check in
    a comment directly above it.
  • Unit — MUSD; 2,474.597 MUSD means 2,474.597 million US dollars.
  • Additional accounts — Assets:NonCurrent:OperatingLeaseRightOfUse,
    Liabilities:NonCurrent:OperatingLeases, Equity:TreasuryStock,
Expenses:DepreciationAndAmortization, opened beyond the standard chart (see
each account's open line in main.bean).
  • Contractor's chart — the filing's "Direct costs" map to
Expenses:CostOfRevenue and "Indirect costs and selling expenses" to
Expenses:SellingGeneralAdministrative; "Interest expense and other, net" is
a net expense every period and sits on Expenses:OtherNet. The supplemental
retirement savings plan assets and obligations fold into the …:Other
residuals, and Equity:TreasuryStock carries a debit balance.
